Our FAQs

Our FAQ section provides answers to common questions about our services, ensuring you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.

Can I bring my own furniture?

At Villa Dorada, we believe a living space should be more than four walls, it should be a true reflection of who you are. Each room has been thoughtfully designed to feel warm, inviting, and personal, yet we know that genuine warmth comes from familiarity. That’s why our private bedrooms are intentionally left minimally furnished, offering you the freedom to shape your environment with pieces that hold meaning. Whether it’s a favorite armchair, a beloved quilt, or treasured décor collected over the years, these personal touches transform your room into a sanctuary that feels authentically yours.

Family photographs, heirloom artifacts, or cherished mementos add character and a sense of continuity, ensuring that your new space feels both comforting and deeply personal. By combining our elegant design with your own belongings, Villa Dorada creates a living experience that is not only beautiful but also uniquely yours—a place where comfort and individuality come together to truly feel like home.

Are there private rooms?

There are five private rooms available at Villa Dorada. Choosing a private room offers residents the comfort of personal space and the freedom to make it truly their own. It allows for greater privacy, quiet, and independence, while still being part of a supportive community. Residents can decorate with familiar furniture, photos, and personal belongings, creating a sanctuary that reflects their personality and history. A private room also provides a sense of dignity and control.  It is important for maintaining well-being and ensuring that when desired, social connection is just steps away in the shared living and dining areas.

Can both of my parents move in?

Yes, Villa Dorada offers private rooms for residents who prefer their own personal space, as well as one spacious room designed to comfortably accommodate a couple. This option allows partners to remain together, sharing their daily routines and enjoying the comfort of one another’s company, rather than being separated into different rooms. Having the ability to live side by side not only preserves the warmth of companionship but also brings a sense of continuity and reassurance, making the transition into assisted living feel more natural and supportive.

What Support Services Do You have?

At Villa Dorada, the support we offer is designed to provide comfort, dignity, and independence while ensuring that daily needs are met with care.:

  • Bathing assistance: For residents with limited mobility, our nurses and aides provide gentle support with bathing tasks, helping with safe entry and exit from the shower or tub, reaching difficult areas, and using soap and shampoo with ease.
  • Dressing support: Age-related challenges such as reduced vision, limited flexibility, or unsteady hands can make dressing difficult. Our staff assist residents each day, turning what was once a complicated task into a simple, stress-free routine.
  • Housekeeping and laundry: Routine chores are taken care of, allowing residents to relax and enjoy their time.
  • Medical coordination: While complex medical care is beyond the scope of Villa Dorada, we seamlessly accommodate visits from doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
What about Meal Preparation?

At Villa Dorado, residents enjoy nutritious, home‑cooked meals prepared daily. Our menus prioritize balance and variety, featuring lean proteins, wholesome grains, and plenty of fresh vegetables. We take pride in sourcing locally grown, seasonal fruits whenever possible, ensuring that residents benefit from both freshness and flavor while supporting nearby farms.

Meals are tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, whether that means low‑sodium options, diabetic‑friendly choices, or simply honoring favorite family recipes. Beyond nutrition, dining is meant to be enjoyable.  Residents can look forward to rotating menus, special dishes inspired by local traditions, and the comfort of knowing that staff are happy to adjust meals to suit changing tastes.

This approach not only promotes health and vitality but also creates a dining experience that feels warm, familiar, and deeply satisfying.
